Time.

This vanishing entity disappears in a blinking of an eye.

Trying to grasp hold of it and slow it down can feel like attempting to cup water in your hands — it just slips away.

With every passing second, we move closer to our inevitable fate while simultaneously drifting further away from our youthful days.

It reminds us how precious life is.

Therefore we shouldn’t live with regrets.

Nobody wants to look back on their life and be filled with a sense of “if only” moments.

We mustn’t allow our deepest regrets to materialize in the future.

So, how can we harness the power of time management to lead a more fulfilling life?

Here’s where a remarkable method comes into play.

But before we dive into that, let’s underscore a few key points.

Did you know that you possess the ability to time travel?

No, not in the physical sense, but through introspection and reflection.

Have you ever come across the common icebreaker question, “What would you tell your future self?”

Often, people respond with sentiments like, “I wish I had done this” or “I regret not doing that.”

Reflecting on your life and actions can serve as a powerful catalyst, inspiring you to change the trajectory of your existence.

So, coming back to that one method of relating to time management?

Well, here it is….

The 55x5 minute rule.

Here’s how it works: dedicate 55 minutes of focused work whether that be writing an essay, researching a paper, or reading a book.

Then set aside 5 minutes to document everything you’ve accomplished in that time.

Be honest without yourself by capturing the productive moments and the instances you found yourself mindlessly scrolling through your phone.

This exercise provides a tangible record of your actions, to allow you to start being more accountable for the.

This self-reflection can sometimes evoke a sense of dissatisfaction, motivation, or unwavering determination to improve.

Ultimately, it enables you to compare your current self to the person you aspire to become.

By identifying the behaviours and actions your ideal self would engage in, you gain a clear roadmap for personal growth.

It is a form of self-accountability.

It’s a form of goal setting by having an intention to achieve a particular goal in that 55 minutes such as writing an introduction for an essay.

Achieving and continuing to develop that skill of being focused on your goals can transfer to other components of your life.

The reflection will cultivate you into becoming the best version of yourself.

Through action, review, and incremental steps, you unlock your true potential

Unlock your potential today, moulding yourself through reflection.

That’s all for today but remember, thank your present moment for the actions that will benefit you in the future.
